PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE - Getting the most out of it

Hooray! January 1st is definitely a day to mark down in your diary and not just for the obviously reason of the fresh start to a new year. Some of you may not realise that most major funds like Medibank Private, NIB and Frank Health Insurance reset your limits at the beginning of the calendar year. This is a great time to look into your level of cover and make sure you make the most of your extras! Here are some quick tips from the team: Some of you may be covered for both MYO and REMEDIAL under separate brackets, which means you can come and visit us for both modalities and be covered for twice the amount of appointments! Check the monetary amount that is allocated for MYO/REMEDIAL and schedule in some maintenance and preventative appointments. Example - your extras limit is $700. Scheduling in one X 30min appointment a month will see you through to the end of the year. Downloading the app for your particular health fund is a quick and easy way to manage your extras for the year. You can find out things like how much you can expect them to cover each appointment, how much you have remaining on your account and you can easily make a manual claim if ever need be. A reminder that both Myotherapy and Remedial Massage can be claimed on the spot with us in clinic on the day of your appointment. Our toes and fingers are crossed that one day, float therapy will be added to the extras list as well! We'll keep you posted about that one! For those of you who have private health insurance, our advice is to definitely look into it so you can get the most out of it! [if !supportLineBreakNewLine] [endif]The BM team.
